Spring 2014 Trends
We all know styles with pastel colorways are typical for spring time. This year, try something new and step outside of your comfort zone with a few ideas from the 2014 spring trends. Break away from the norm with your colors and styles. Here are a few looks from what is to come!
1. Bomber Jackets-Add this sporty jacket to something dressy for a bit of edge. Like the moto jacket, the bomber is extremely versatile and can be worn with shorts, slacks, skirts, etc. For more edge, push the sleeves up to the elbow area.
|
2. Tea Length Skirts- It's the new trend for skirts. The tea length falls in between the midi and the maxi dress. Try wearing one with a crop top to offset the length for a taller look. This is one of my favorites for Spring.
|
3. Boxy- Crop Jackets-The beauty of this jacket is that it can be paired with any office wear, body cons, flare legs, etc. It is the perfect addition for your layering purposes. It is a great way to dress up a simple outfit.
|
4. Tuxedo/Athletic Striped Pants-This trend has been around since last year and it is still going strong for 2014. The sporty/sophisticated trousers looks great with casual tops, especially if the pants are multi-colored. In this case, wearing a patterned shirt with multiple hues makes a statement.

Valentine's Day Looks
Valentine's day is quickly approaching! If you're like me, you have the tendency to wait until the last minute before deciding what type of look you want. Here are a few ideas to assist you. They are fashionable, trendy, and appropriate! **click on images to visit sites**
1. Hypknotie Dress- this dress can be styled however you want. You can make it a cute and stylish dress, skirt, maxi dress etc. I think I may purchase one just because! View this "how to wear" video for styling ideas.
|
2. Party Dress-This is great if you're going to a Valentine's Day party or gathering. It's also ideal for any semi-formal occasion. The LBD's (little black dress) are timeless classics! Every woman should have one in her closet.
|
3. Dressy Tops & Skirts- If you have to work before your special evening and don't have time to change, this is the perfect look! Bring the holiday spirit to the office! This is an easy transition into an evening of love.
|
4. Convertible Control Wrap Dress- What can I say except this dress is everything! I love the fact that it helps control those problem areas (with the built-in shaping slip) and keeps everything in tact. Every woman wants to look sexy for her companion :)
|
5. Love Tees and Skinny Jeans- This casual look is the bomb.com! She nailed it! I love how she accented the outfit with a red/black leopard print scarf. This outfit is perfect for the laid back evening. If my fiancé and I decide on a low key evening, this is the look I will settle on.
|
6. Dressy Tops & Flare Legged Slacks- This look is for the woman who prefers to wear slacks instead of dresses. It's more business attire; however, it's ideal for Valentine's Day. I adore the pink top with red slacks! It's cute and sexy!

Old Jeans Made Fashionable
If you're anything like me, there are certain jeans you find difficulty parting ways with and maybe there are some you are ready to dump! Before you do, take a look at ways to make your old denim stylish and fashionable.

1. The Hi-Waist Jean
Before you toss it, transform by rolling up the bottom (if they're too long) or
add a few rips to each leg. You can also cut the jeans to make stylish
hi-waist shorts for summer months.

2. Bell Bottom/Flare Leg Jeans
This style jean is timeless. My parents wore them back in the 70's and today they're still
just as popular. You can make your bells more stylish by adding a few rips and also with wearing fashionable tops/cute heels.

3. Relaxed Jeans
The great thing about relaxed jeans is that you can easily transform into the popular "boyfriend" jean. It doesn't matter if you have a pair of men's or women's. The fit should be baggy and loose. For extra style, roll up the pant legs however you want, messy or even folds.
