2 years ago, my sister saw one of my designs I created for a school assignment. She insisted I design our mother's dress for her wedding. Not only was I happy to do so, but I was almost in tears knowing they felt I could take on such a task. I did not sew the gown (unfortunately), but I did provide the fabric and the sketches of how it should look. My inspiration came from watching an episode of the Jefferson's. I saw Florence in a beautiful coral gown with bat sleeves. Instantly, I knew my mom's dress had to somewhat emulate that style. We found the perfect seamstress to make my design become reality :) Now, I've just got to get the sewing part under my belt.
