HOUSTON, TX, March 7, 2016 – Simon, a leading global retail real estate company, is pleased to announce new retailers, renovations and expansions at The Galleria.

LUXURY RENOVATION UPDATE

Simon recently announced a $30 million complete renovation of The Galleria’s luxury wing to complement the construction of a new, state-of-the-art flagship Saks Fifth Avenue store slated to open on April 28th. The redevelopment project includes the construction of a 14,000 square foot, free-standing retail building referred to as ‘The Jewel Box.’ Completed in late 2015, The Jewel Box is now home to The Webster, a luxury fashion boutique that opened in January 2016 and Yauatcha, a Michelin-starred Chinese dim sum tea house which will open later this year. The transformation also includes the addition of 110,000 square-feet of new retail space offering 35 new luxury and other unique retailers and restaurants slated for completion in 2017. In total, Simon is investing $250 million to further elevate the shopping experience and ensure that The Galleria remains the destination of choice for shoppers and retailers alike.

In a fantastic celebration of life, hope, and survival, over 15 cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, families and friends will “rip” the runway in the Kouture 2 Fight Kancer Fashion Show. Females of all different cultures, ages and sizes will relish in all the extravagant joys of womanhood! They will enjoy having their crowns and faces mesmerized by professional hair/make-up artists, and model carefully selected stylish designs by local Houston boutique owners. “I am particularly excited about the Kouture 2 Fight Kancer Fundraiser. I have been to great fashion shows before but this one is special. When dealing with cancer it is easy to focus more on the ugliness of the disease than on the beauty that we still possess internally and externally. Kouture 2 Fight Kancer gives a powerful, life celebrating reason for all survivors and caretakers to put on their fabulous wigs now”, exclaims the three time cancer survivor. 

This event includes door prizes, live music, a silent auction, cocktail reception, heavy appetizers, and all guests 
receive exclusive Pretty Girls with Cancer Thank you gift bags and more! Ticket costs are more than reasonable at 
$20 General Admission and $50 VIP, which includes valet parking, one drink, catwalk seating and a souvenir bag.

Pretty Girls with Cancer is a 501c3 Charity under the Pink Rose Organization. With no cost to those they serve, 
they provide various educational and social services including referring local businesses in the PGWC Network

Hiatus.....For Good Reason :)

Hello All!!! My, my, my..... it has been too long!  I went on an extended hiatus due to enjoying life and its surprises!!  I am a Mommy to be!! Yes, yes!!  My husband and I are both elated and can't wait to see our little bundle of joy! I cannot begin to explain how wonderful it is to feel this tiny being moving around in my belly.  I am now comprehending the love that I hear parents speak of.  It's hard to explain, but trust... it is like no other.  I am so in love with someone I have yet to meet!! lol This has truly been an amazing journey. Not only am I expecting, but my sister is too! She and I have been experiencing the ups/downs of pregnancy together.  We are both going to be first time Mothers :) and are so happy to share this chapter in our lives with one another. #loveontop

Casual Friday

TGIF!!!!!  I'm sure you all are just as excited about Friday as I am.  It seems as though this week flew by!  Fridays are when I usually indulge in my favorite pass time.....SHOPPING! lol  Today's outfit post is of a simple graphic top with denim skinny jeans.  Well, I say the top is simple, but if you look closely, it is a bit edgy.  I never realized the detail until after I made the purchase.  The shirt has skulls all over!!! I had to laugh when I noticed; however, I managed to make it soft and girly with my clutch purse/pumps, plus it was only $3!!  Yes, my favorite Rainbow store (in Katy Mills Mall) closed its doors, so everything was 50% if not more!! Gotta love those deals! This is a great look for casual Fridays at work and definitely play thereafter :)

My hair is pushed up in a high puff style.  This was an old twist out that still had definition.  I used a Goody hair band to keep in tact.
