Hello everyone!  So.... this week, we are experiencing another cold front!  I tell you, this weather is so unpredictable! Regardless, I always find ways to make the most of it.  Today's outfit post showcases how I am keeping warm with my tomboyish/rebel style.  I enjoy switching up my looks and breaking away from the norm.  Making statements with casual wear is my thing!  I took a long sleeve t-shirt and made it edgy with ripped jeans and fashion combat boots.  Other accessories include: black earrings, bracelets and purse.  It doesn't take much to make a simple outfit pop!

My hair is an old twist out pushed up in a high-puff style with bangs.  I used Carol's Daughter healthy hair butter (purchased at Sephora) and a Scunci Large Upzing Double Comb to keep in place (purchased at Wal-Mart).

Outfit Details Here:

Mixed Prints

As much as I enjoy my relaxed and comfy looks, I do love dressing up on occasions.  There is nothing like stepping out of the house with confidence in yourself and your wardrobe!  Today's post showcases how I boldly mixed prints and made it stylish.  When I saw this $7 dress (yes, I said $7!!-lol), immediately I noticed its potential.  I knew exactly what pieces were needed to give it an edgy flare.  I layered with a black jacket and chose my black/grey leopard print purse.  Normally,  this purse is used as an accent piece with solid colors; however, there is nothing wrong with mixing patterns and making statements.  Other accessories include: silver jewelry, black tights, and black ankle strap pumps.

My hair is an old twist out pushed up in a high-puff style with bangs.  I used Carol's Daughter healthy hair butter (purchased at Sephora) and a Scunci Large Upzing Double Comb to keep in place (purchased at Wal-Mart).

Good day everyone! I hope you all are having a blessed week thus far! I am enjoying the warm/sunny weather we've had the past couple days.  Today's post is my simple, yet chic look which is perfect for these sunny days.  I love, love, love being comfortable and fashionable.  That's my thing... to be comfy and cute!  I took a regular crew neck tee and made it stylish with my genie jeans. I simply adore these jeans, especially the elastic waist (extremely breathable)! lol My camouflage heels/earrings are the accent pieces. The camo style is a trend that will be around for awhile.  There are so
many different patterns/colors to choose from. Other accessories include a black purse, black arm band, and silver bracelet.  Tidbit:  Wearing patterns as accent pieces are great ways to spice up plain outfits. Make certain you keep it minimal to avoid over accessorizing.

My hair is in a protective/high bun style using Marley hair.   Click here to view the high bun tutorial video and products used.

Dressy Overall

In the past, the first thing that came to mind with overalls was blue collar work wear.  Today, that has changed drastically.  The overall style has been reinvented again as fashionable pieces.  This trend has been in and out for years so we're going to enjoy it while it's still in.  Today's post showcases how I rocked my cropped overalls.  I decided to make the look dressy with heels.  I am wearing a Kelly green/short sleeve turtle neck sweater, multi-colored heels, and a black clutch purse.  This outfit can be worn for an evening of fun whether it's hanging with girls or date night.  It can even be considered work wear, depending on the dress code.  Check out this post from Wonderland showing how overalls have evolved throughout the years.

My hair is blown out with bangs.  I made a mini bun and pinned up the back.  To blow out my hair, I use Twisted Sista products.  See here...

Outfit Details Here:

Top: Retailer Unknown (old)
Overalls: Boohoo
Shoes: Target
Clutch: Express
Jewelry: Shasa

Are you wearing overalls too? Feel free to comment/share!

Until next time....

Hello peeps! It's already the beginning of a new week and we're halfway through January! Can you believe it?!! Time is seriously flying.  This Houston weather has been up and down lately.  We've had mixes of cold fronts and warm weather!  Today's post is ideal for the in between days!  I am sporting a short-sleeve sweater top with skinny jeans and boots.  The leopard print scarf is my accent, but also for warmth.  My earrings and purse are quite popular.  I've been wanting the 100% natural earrings for awhile, but never made a purchase until recently.  One of the exhibitors had them at the Nzuri festival.  I knew I wasn't leaving without a pair this time around! lol The purse speaks for itself! As you can see, it is a newspaper duffle bag in various colors of brown.  Like the earrings, it was a definite must have when I saw it!  It is the perfect addition to my ensemble, plus I can store a lot of stuff in it.  I am a lover of big bags :) Other accessories include: wooden bangles and brown bracelets.

My hair is in a protective/high bun style using Marley hair.   Click here to view the high bun tutorial video and products used.
